This painting of freshwater fish shows four types of fish as if through X-ray vision (each has two eyes, backbone and internal organs). The four types of fish are (from top and clockwise): Mullet, Cat Fish, Eel and Willow Perch. The painting shows the scene as if from the bottom of a river bed. You can see the weeds growing in the water, their roots shown below ground level. Small skeleton fish and fresh water mussels litter the edge of the scene. The two small hands claim Aboriginality.
